All About Wives of Warriors Worldwide (WOWW)
WOWW was organized in 2002 as WOW (Wives
of Warriors) under the Officers’ Christian
Fellowship (OCF). While frequent separations have often been the norm
for military families, with the advent of the Global War on Terror
in 2001, the impact on military families intensified around the world
not only for the families of the US Armed Forces but from many
allied and NATO countries also.
Since beginning this ministry we have held conferences and retreats
at more than 35 military installations in the US and abroad.
A team of four wives of active duty or retired military along with
resource people ministered to military wives through Protestant Women
of the Chapel (PWOC) and military chapel communities.
The WOW Team gave hope and encouragement by offering Biblical principles to aid the women in attendance.
In the fall of 2007, WOW became WOWW (Wives of Warriors Worldwide), expanding the vision to include international military wives. In addition to conferences, WOWW offers counseling, mentoring, and prayer support.
Our key verse is Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
